Описание: Rotate through at times using gear/equipment and at times off of gear to help generalize skills in all set ups. Recall practice from the environment, and capture great moments of orientation to us, the handler. Reinforce all the good/"glimmers" of the beginning stages of the skill/behavior. Name recognition and positive interrupter practice. Loose leash walking practice off of gear. We must also be taking into consideration our dog's emotional state, to help with their learning and even when trying to change behaviors/responses. Is my dog feeling safe or unsafe and why it matters in training and your relationship. Recall and practice, tips and information. Try to only ask twice tops when asking for the recall. If the pup/dog is failing, do not keep asking, but go and help them be successful. Make sure to still work each of your dogs individually, especially when one might be at a different place mentally, physically or developmentally. Look for your dog's comfort range and body language to make sure we are indeed working them within their comfort range and work them well below their threshold. We do not want to go into flooding or create learned helplessness. Ways to start and end play with cues for starting and ending the session. Make play fun and attainable from your dog's perspective. Make sure to not over do it due to Jojo being a brachycephalic breed. Can she take breaks throughout the excitement of the play time? Jojo is actually 7 years old, not five, LOL, silly me! She's just in great shape still for a 7 year old lovely lady. Dog and people selective is the norm for most dogs ;) U-turn practice. Low rider and tips to help, try a spatula or ladle for use as food based target stick to save your back. Front practice and information. Why these skills can be helpful. For front cues, start with the pup in front of you and do a few reps, then try when they are by your side. Positive interrupter. Why ruling out medical reasons behind behavior is so important in a behavior/training plan. Make sure to practice your skills/behaviors well before you actually need/expect to have them reliable in the real world and avoid only doing it while near a know trigger. Make sure to lower the criteria when needed to allow for more successful change and building of skill set for your dog. You can not feed/praise/reinforce fear/fear responses. They are involuntary.
