We are going to talk about brokerages. This is actually about building your own business and about being loyal to yourself, not your brokerage, and how to find one that's a good fit for you as a new agent.
You have to understand that the company you worked for cares about the company they work for. I don't care what your affiliation is or how you feel about your brokerage, understand that you're just a cog in the machine, and if you leave, it is irrelevant to them.
You actually need to take care of yourself and your business and be where it makes the most sense for you and your business and your lifestyle when you choose a brokerage. You need to understand there are basically two types of brokerages. There's the low fee, low service, or the 100 percent brokerages, and then the high fee, high service. The low fee, low service guys, or 100 percent brokerages are going to cost you your take four to seven thousand dollars per year on average.
If you end up at the low fee, low service brokerage, understand that you get absolutely nothing. You will not get a website, you don't get to see your and you get no support, no coaching, no mentorship, no nothing.
