I usually get very excited to create a song, get through the process of recording it, second-guess myself, end up hating it, and never finish the project.
So today, I challenged myself to record, film, and upload a song all before the day ended. However it sounded and even if it wasn't perfect. Because when we get so focused on perfection that we forget to enjoy the process or recognize our progress, we drive ourselves nuts and never end up progressing at all.
So here is my version of Dear Theodosia with both verses overlapping, which is something I saw someone else post and absolutely fell in love with.
I am not a father yet, but I hope to be one day, and as my brother and my friends are having children, I feel a certain responsibility to make the "world safe and sound" for them. It's all a glimpse of how I am going to feel when I have children of my own one day.
