Описание: Rice University ecologist Lydia Beaudrot and a dozen co-authors pored over 400,000 observations from camera traps on three continents to explore how 36 species of tropical mammals reacted to changing local temperatures between 2007-15. She said some of the responses were surprising. For example, rising temperatures in different locations sometimes evoked a different response from the same species. "We interpret that to mean that animals are not responding solely to changing temperatures," Beaudrot said. "They are also reacting to the changes of other species, like predators, prey and competitors."
