These stones were sent to me for testing and evaluation, directly from Pride Abrasives. I am not affiliated with Pride, nor am I a product salesman for them. The opinions expressed are my own.

I compare these stones often against Shapton, and Naniwa. They are some of the more popular stones available, and I think many people will relate to the descriptions. That being said, they are also some of the stones I am most familiar with. Shapton Pro, and Naniwa, were among the first bench stones I purchased, and have been in my use for several years now. They are the hallmark I tend to compare others against.
As mentioned in the video, you don't have to go through anywhere near, this many stones, to get a sharp knife. This video was to show off the entire Pride stone line up. In future videos, I will be using them in smaller groups, to determine what grits jumps are possible, against many EDC steel types.
In terms of "Grit" ratings, I think most American stones follow along with the same formula that Norton uses. I have linked a chart below, that seems to hold with my observations while sharpening, and comparing the scratch patterns.
