Today on our 2016 Honda CR-V, we'll be doing a test fit on the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1555, and that's tire size 225/65/R17. These Titan chains are ideal for passenger vehicles and light trucks. They feature a diamond pattern rather than a ladder pattern, so they're going to provide you with more tire coverage, which means more traction. It has small square links, which are going to give you the bite you need to get going. They're Class S chains, and they're going to be great for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. Some chains require a rubber adjuster or an additional part to help keep them tight and snug around the tire. The integrated tensioner eliminates the need. They have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles an hour and they come in a quantity of 2.
You also get this nice carrying bag so you can stow it without having to make any mess in your vehicle. To get started, we're going to be putting tire chains on the front tires of our Honda CR-V. It is all-wheel drive, but it is mostly driven by the front axle. To begin our test fit, I've gone ahead and laid out the chain. It's a good idea to make there's no kinks, twists, or any tangles in it. You'll also want to be sure that the hooks here, the open side, is going to be facing away from our tire, so I've got it laid out in such a way that that's going to be so. Now, let's go ahead and bring our cable chain around our tire.
We want to be sure and stop right here at the center when we get center behind our tire. Now, we can grab our cable and connect it together. We'll come up behind our tire like so, connect it, and then at the same time, we're going to bring our chain over our tire just like that. Then, we'll take our green hook and our yellow link here and connect it together. Then, we'll make our way down to the bottom. We'll take our red channel here and our gray chain.
We're going to take the gray chain, feed it up through the red channel, pull it nice and tight until it locks into place like that. Then, we're going to bring it up through the red loop here. You'll notice that there are 2. The second one is not needed, and then we're going to connect it up here. As you could see it's nice and tight.
We can go ahead and repeat that same process for the other side. Once we get them both done, it's a good idea to drive a short distance, stop, get out, check to see if you need to make any adjustments. That's going to complete our test fit on the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with Diamond Pattern and Square Link, part number TC1555, on our 2016 Honda CR-V.
