Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 vs CF Moto Ibex 450: I've Ridden Both

Описание: As one of the few people lucky enough to have spent a reasonable amount of seat time on both the all new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the CF Moto Ibex 450, the most common question I get is "Ibex 450 vs Himalayan 450, which is better?"

The good news is that these are both fantastic entry-level dual sport/adventure motorcycles that are both inexpensive and easy to ride. Both offer low seat height options and can be ridden and enjoyed by both new ADV bike riders and veterans alike.

Basically, they’re both well-priced dual sport motorcycles capable of crushing miles on the highway and exploring deep into the backcountry.

Both the Himalayan 450 and the Ibex 450 are easy to ride for beginners and the vertically challenged but also offer plenty of capability to keep even experienced riders entertained. They’re VERY SIMILAR. The difference in real world riding experience is minimal and almost purely subjective.

Honestly, the biggest difference Himalayan 450 vs Ibex 450 is styling. If you want classic 20th century looks, go Himalayan. If you want modern spaceship styling, go with the Ibex.

Adjustable suspension is a big plus for the Ibex but most new/intermediate riders have no idea how to use it and will just leave it at stock settings or ruin it with bad adjustments so there’s something to be said about the non-adjustable option which can’t be screwed up.

My advice as always is to sit on and test ride both if you can. They are both great bikes. Both insane value for the price. Both will take you just about anywhere you want to go.

We’re very lucky to have more low-cost, more accessible ADV bikes hitting the market. It’ll be interesting to see how the Japanese companies react when both of these bikes are massive hits.
