The World's LONGEST Desert Highway (544KM) I S2, EP105

Описание: I am finally travelling on the world's longest desert highway which stretches about 544 km through the middle of the Taklamakan Desert in Xinjiang Province. The highway is impeccable and the surrounding desert pristine. The highway is in one of the least inhabited regions of China and is being maintained every 4 km by someone who lives there throughout the year to take care of the highway. It's fascinating how this piece of infrastructure is being kept alive by a very few people.
I eventually moved on to Tazhong a small oil village in the desert.
