Say hello to the channel's 29th facility - the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. A 135 acre park opened back in 1876, making it only the eighth oldest zoo in America. While much of its history is left untouched, I'll be showing off their projects that brought them out of the past. Starting with The Polar Bear Watch. Built in 2003, designed as a real life travelogue of Churchill, Canada. Accomplishing this with an Inuit structure, bear trap, and the one of a kind Tundra Buggy - an authentic but stationary 25 ton vehicle. Purchased from the actual company that uses them to trek tourists out onto native Polar bear territory. Not only is it settled between the bears, but you can walk through it and act as if you're in the wild. Due to some unfortunate circumstances with the Polar Bear Watch's other residents, this tour will be short lived but still a great way to intro you all to the Maryland Zoo.
