Lenovo, AMD and Responsible AI - how the technology is shaping the future

Описание: In this short video filmed at the recent CRN Sustainability in Tech Summit in London, Virginie Le Barbu, global sustainability director, international markets at Lenovo, and Keith Toh, director of EMEA partner strategy and enablement at AMD join CRN consulting editor Sara Yirrell on stage to discuss responsible AI with a particular focus on sustainability and trust.

During the session both vendors stressed the importance for partners in getting a responsible AI strategy in place early, and using the tools and experience available via their vendor partners.

“The adoption of AI has now passed the threshold where it has legal and political implications, which affect trust, privacy and result in media exposure if you are not careful,” said Toh. “But we believe responsible AI is necessary for the progression of innovation and we implement it at a system level. Compliance and safety is just part of everything we do. The responsibility is for everyone in the ecosystem, and that is why partnerships are very important.”

Le Barbu explained that the set of AI tools and LLMs that Lenovo is using have been vetted by relevant privacy and security counsels, before being adopted upstream by the development community.

“Putting these processes in place may seem restrictive, but we have the right tools and framework to scale AI rapidly and in a good way,” she said, adding that sustainability and AI are huge enablers for Lenovo’s partners and why it is a pillar of its Circle 360 strategy.

The conversation also covered how Lenovo and AMD are collaborating to offer their joint partners even more opportunities around responsible AI, and why the channel is vital in leading the charge.
