La notte di San Lorenzo, la notte delle stelle cadenti nel cielo, è tra il 9 al 13 agosto.
Non c'è una data fissa ma è elastica, secondo, che il giorno di San Lorenzo cada di sabato, di domenica o infrasettimanale; è ancora più elastica se si guarda il cielo, il massimo delle stelle cadenti si ha qualche giorno dopo la ricorrenza del martirio del Santo, perché il firmamento non è immobile nemmeno lui e anche in cielo i tempi si allungano, quindi non il 10 ma tra il 12 e il 13 agosto, con exploits anche nelle sere successive, fino a Ferragosto.
