Описание: Natalia 'Saw Lady'® Paruz plays 'Happy Days are Here Again' by Milton Ager on musical saw.

I was invited by The Internet Archive (https://archive.org) to participate in the Public Domain project, and was given a list of songs that became public domain on January 1st, 2025. This year it is songs from 1929. The deadline I was given is January 20th. The date inspired me to chose to play 'Happy Days are Here Again', because I think 1/2 our country sincerely thinks so these days, and 1/2 the country would think of it as sarcastic, as this song was the anthem of the Democratic Party for many years (though ironically Yellen, who wrote the song’s lyrics, considered himself a Republican). And particularly as a hidden symbol, as the song was first performed on Black Thursday, at the very onset of the stock market crash of 1929, at New York’s Pennsylvania Hotel, in front of a crowd of ruined stock speculators. So I think everybody could read whatever they want into it and all can enjoy the beautiful melody.
