Korouoma Canyon is a natural wonder formed thousands of years ago.The Canyon is located only a 90 minute drive away from Rovaniemi. In the bottom of the canyon flows the Korojoki River, which is surrounded on both sides by cliffs over 100 meters high. Several streams cascade down these cliffs freezing into magnificent ice falls in the winter time.
During our Korouoma adventure we will hike through the Arctic nature and Nordic forests. We pass by three massive frozen waterfalls, which are sure to impress and create extraordinary landscape for photography. Frozen rivers and rugged gorges pierce the snowy scenery as we hike on the trail at the bottom of the canyon.
