EACC releases corruption probe report on Gov’t institutions amounting to100B

The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission is actively investigating corruption cases amounting to over 100 billion shillings in government institutions and county governments. In an investigation summary report for the financial year 2023-2024, the commission indicated that it received 5171 reports out of which 534 cases are under review with 25 classified as high impact cases. The report also indicates that 25 former and current Governors are on the commission’s radar.
