Описание: "Don't Give Up" is a song written by Peter Gabriel and recorded as a duet with Kate Bush for Gabriel's album So. The single version was released as the second single from the album in the UK in 1986 and fifth in the United States in 1987. It spent eleven weeks in the UK Top 75 chart in 1986, peaking at number nine. The verses, sung by Gabriel, describe a man's feelings of isolation and despair; the choruses, sung by Bush, offer words of hope and encouragement.

The Shadows made an instrumental cover for their 1987 album “ Simply Shadows” and this is a cover of my favourite track from that album.(I have covered 12 of the 16 tracks from this album so far)

Played on my Fender Custom 56 NOS with Kinman Impersonator 54 V3 pickups.
I used the bridge pickup for Peter Gabriel’s voice and the Mid/neck pickup for Kate’s.

Sound recorded through an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with echoes from the past patch 0-36 into cubase sx5 on the computer via external sound card (PreSonus Audiobox USB).where the guitar is mixed with the backing track.

Modifications were made to the Key, speed, length, and order to match and line up exactly with The Shadows arrangement by my son Andrew. Because it started off as a commercial BT I can’t put it on my website as a free download sorry.

Video made with 3x Sony SR12 camcorders and a Smartphone and edited in Sony Vegas pro 9 with the cubase sound.
