Here on the little Herrin railroad, this company owns a rare Baldwin RS-4-TC unit. Only 74 of these were ever produced (most being for the US Army) and the ones left are all used for tourist museums. Except for this one. HIRW 4020 / LTEX 4020 is replacing the old COER 1136 switcher and is the only unit being used for the Herrin railroad (and for freight service) operating on former IC rails. In this video we start out by the BNSF interchange in Paineville and work our way throughout the whole city of Herrin and even catch them going up the old wye headed to the storage facility. This railroad runs at least once a week with the unit sporting a nice P3 horn. Enjoy!
