HI Guys what a great place I found just outside of the famous town of Winton in QLD. Wow this town has so so so much to offer travellers and even the locals. The place made me feel like I have just stepped back in time. Wanderers Caravan Park is where I stayed for a few nights just outside the town of Winton by 4km which looked like an old cattle station. The address for this place is 481 Landsborough Hwy, Winton QLD 4735.
What a great town to visit and if you get chance to see the video I made while I was staying there you might even get a few ideas in what to do around the town.
My stay there was fantastic, it had level sites but the only thing it was missing is the grass. But you do sit on the grass every night as the sunsets, they have a great viewing area where you sit around the fire, chat with the travellers of the park and gives you a warm and friendly feeling as you watch the sunset. That might of been the beer talking too..Lol! Plus the staff were so friendly and helpful. (A+)
The sites were all drive through sites and are on white gravel and large concrete slabs which is plenty of room for your car and any size rig, even tents. Which is a plus in my books. The water and power were very close and they even had a grey water dump point which can fit a large hose down it as well.
The toilets were brand new and I gave it a 5 out of 5 and it also had a shower and a toilet with wheel chair access.. It has a laundry which was new as well and had a few machines and a dryer.
The gardens were kept so nice and tidy. Yes the park is still under construction but the park is fully functional.
Plus thing site is dog friendly guys.
The office is soon going to offer assortment of refrigerated items plus offers souvenirs and information about the town of winton. Most of the information is what you will find in the visitor centre in town, but please go into the Matilda Visitor Centre. They have so much information about the town, which I say, don’t miss out on seeing this town and the history it has..
