His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 35th composition, "Phra Maha Mongkol", was composed in 1959. On 20 November 1959 His Majesty granted Mr. Eua Sunthornsanan and his band permission to use this composition as their signature, in celebration of the band's 20th anniversary. Mr. Eua Sunthornsanan sought permission from His Majesty to name the song "Phra Maha Mongkol", which in English means "The Supreme Blessing". There are not lyrics for this composition. Col. Prateep Suphanrojn arranged this work in Latin style, featuring colorful orchestral writing.
