Recue vs Desto - Fathoms (Live Studio Mashup)

This is a live studio jam session with Desto mashing up his remix of my track Fathoms with the original and some new material. The track is taken from freshly released Fathoms / Akrasia single which is accompanied with remixes by Desto and Pixelord. Get it from the Bandcamp link above.

The session itself wasn't too premeditated, we sort of agreed what would happen and pressed play. One of the cameras was focused in a bit of a funny place, but we were so happy with how the track ended up, we didn't want to do retakes. In fact we were so happy with it, that the track has now been included as a bonus item in Fathoms / Akrasia (Deconstructed) single.

The usual nerdy details for the so inclined: The brains of the set are 1010 Blackbox and Elektron Octatrack (not us) and Polyend Seq is the main driver for the drums (from Nord Drum 2). Tasty Chips GR-1 provides the pads which are fed through the modular and reverb pedal. Everything is multitracked in Ableton and some FFT spectral FX goodness is added with Unfiltered Audio SpecOps which I'm controlling with the Livid modules on the modular.
