Cyclone biparjoy heads to gujarat coast. Strong winds & high tides hit Gujarat coast. National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force have been deployed at the Gujarat coastal region to tackle the impeding situation that may develop following the arrival of Cyclone Biparjoy. As cyclonic storm Biparjoy intensified and continued to approach the coast of Gujarat, the state government closed beaches and started reaching out to people living along the coast. Cyclone Biparjoy formed over the Arabian Sea and is expected to bring strong winds and rain along Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra coasts. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the Arabian Sea, the IMD has advised total suspension of fishing operations in the region till June 15.
