This is Part 1 of an in depth look at the renovation of my electrical closet. When we initially moved into our new house, the electrical, alarm, and data panels were in dire need of a rewire to organize the jumbled wires and get some much needed cable management. In this video (Part 1), I have a picture slide show showing all steps of the re-wire from beginning to end including fabrication of the data panel. In the next video (Part 2), I have a video overview of how each component in the re-wired closet works.
The project took about 4 to 5 weeks across two summers to complete. The initial work was done in 2011 but I made a small modification to the alarm and data panels within the past year.
