Hi, I'm Maria Hinton, founder of The Wounded Healer. With education in both business and social work—because apparently I couldn't decide if I wanted to help people or make money, so I chose both! My mission is helping cycle breakers heal from childhood trauma, CPTSD, complex PTSD, and generational patterns through practical, trauma-informed approaches that actually work.

BREAKING GENERATIONAL CYCLES - ONE STORY AT A TIME

Born to a 15-year-old mother, I survived childhood abuse, neglect, neglect and poverty. For decades, I repeated familiar patterns: codependency, people-pleasing, attracting emotionally unavailable partners, and disconnection from my authentic self. After 40 years of hiding in shame, I realized healing was possible.

Through recovering from CPTSD, attachment wounds, mother wound, father wound, and toxic relationship patterns, I've discovered what genuinely helps cycle breakers break family patterns and heal generational trauma.
