Описание: People often ask me: "How’s it going in Dubai?" No matter where I am in the Gulf. Dubai is just ONE PART of the UAE. It is an EMIRATE. the UAE stands for UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.

What is an Emirate? An Emirate is like a city-state, and there are seven Emirates in the UAE:

1. Dubai
2. Abu Dhabi (the capital of the UAE)
3. Sharjah
4. Ajman
5. Umm al Quwain
6. Ras al Khaimah
7. Fujairah

Dubai is NOT a country!
The Gulf Cooperation Council is a political union of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman. Takeaway: The next time someone tells you that they’re traveling to the Middle East Gulf, remember this geography lesson, and don’t assume they are going to Dubai. There are many other beautiful places in the Middle East Gulf!
