Designed and built in Australia, the Flying11 is the best class for kids to sail after learning in Sabots and Optimists. The Flying11 teaches kids how to sail fast skiff type boats like Cherubs, 29ers and 49ers, symmetrical spinnaker skills for classes like 420's and 470's, and also teaches children the importance of race tactics and fine tuning technique for classes like Lasers.
An inexpensive, one-design boat that is perfect for siblings to sail together, but can also fit dad in the back to help teach the kids learn the basics and can give a lot of similar sized boats a run for their money in the excitement department!
