BBC Radio 2 Breakfast presenter Zoe Ball has officially announced that she will be stepping down from her slot on air by the end of the year. Her last show will be on December 20th, after which current afternoon presenter Scott Mills will move in to the slot.
The news also triggers a domino effect in the Radio 2 Schedule, in which Scott moves to Zoe's slot, Trevor Nelson moves to Scott's slot, DJ Spoony moves to Trevor's slot and Sophie Ellis-Bextor moves in from BBC Sounds programmes aired overnight at the weekend to a static slot on a Friday Night.
The new schedule is expected to start on Monday January 6th.
