US govt gives Kenya forensic equipment to aid in investigations

Police officers have been accused of tampering with evidence in crucial cases something that has hindered conclusive prosecution of such cases. The chairman of the Independent Police Oversight Authority Macharia Njeru warned police officers that will be held personally liable for shoddy investigations of cases they handled as it entails professional negligence. Macharia was speaking after receiving an assortment of forensic equipment from the United States government that will aid the authority in undertaking public investigation on police officers.
