We are NOT the ones causing such confusion! But these issues need to be dealt with in a serious, academic manner. It is obvious that the last 1400 years did not yield sufficient clarity and that the traditional interpretations did not serve well the Muslim community.

The fact that there are many tough questions still unanswered even today, even after 1200 years of a tradition of interpretation, shows the deep influence our traditional books and books of Tafseer have on the hearts and minds of the scholars leading the Muslim Community today!

We need to be disciplined in adopting the Quranic methodology, and to ascribe to Allahh his due revevence!
