Join me for a crisp and frosty morning run in the beautiful Moesgaard area south of Aarhus, Denmark. ❄️🏃♂️
With temperatures at -3°C (26°F), the landscape was covered in a light frost, making for a stunning and refreshing experience. The route takes us from the deep woods of Moesgaard Skov down to the coastline at Moesgaard Strand, where I was lucky enough to spot a large Grey Heron standing by the water.
On the way back, I took a different path following the Giber Å stream. After crossing the water, I stumbled upon a very unique wooden building: the Magnetic Observatory belonging to Aarhus University. It's a fascinating structure I hadn't noticed before!
The run continues past grazing Highland Cattle, the historic Moesgaard Manor, the iconic Stave Church, and the modern architecture of Moesgaard Museum (MOMU). Before finishing, I passed under the towering Søsterhøj Transmitter and ended right where I started: at the local favorite, Krammetræet (The Hugging Tree).
