Описание: ចំប៉ា និងរំដួល ជាដំរីមួយគូ ដែលប្រធានរដ្ឋនៃសាធារណរដ្ឋប្រជាធិបតេយ្យប្រជាមានិតឡាវ បានថ្វាយមកព្រះមហាក្សត្រកម្ពុជា ដើម្បីជានិមិត្តរូបនៃចំណងសាមគ្គីភាពរវាងរដ្ឋាភិបាល និងប្រជាជាតិទាំងពីរ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១២ ឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤ បន្ទាប់ពីការធ្វើទស្សនកិច្ចផ្លូវរដ្ឋនៅកម្ពុជា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៣ដល់ ថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤កន្លងមកនេះ។ ដំរីញី-ឈ្មោលមួយគូនេះ មានប្រភពមកពីស្រុក Thongmixay ខេត្ត Xaigna-bouli ប្រទេសឡាវ។ ដំរីញីមានឈ្មោះថា រំដួល កើតនៅថ្ងៃទី៦ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២០ និងមានអាយុ ៣ឆ្នាំ ៩ខែ ចំណែលឯ ចំប៉ា ជាដំរីឈ្មោល កើតនៅថ្ងៃទី៥ ខែវិច្ឆិកា ឆ្នាំ២០២០ និងមានអាយុ ៣ឆ្នាំ ៧ខែ។
ជាមួយគ្នានេះ ភាគីឡាវ ក៏បានបញ្ចូនហ្មដំរីចំនួន២នាក់ ដើម្បីជួយមើលថែរក្សាសត្វដំរីមួយគូនេះ ក្នុងរយៈពេល៦ខែ។ ក្រសួងកសិកម្ម រុក្ខាប្រមាញ់ និងនេសាទ បានរៀបចំសាងសង់ទ្រុងបន្ថែមនៅឧទ្យានសួនសត្វ ព្រៃការពារ និងសួនភូតគាម «ភ្នំតាម៉ៅ» សម្រាប់ដំរីមួយគូនេះមានទំហំបណ្តោយ៥០ម៉ែត្រ ទទឹង៣០ម៉ែត្រ និងកម្ពស់១,៣ម៉ែត្រ។ រីឯរោងសម្រាប់ដំរីដេក មានទំហំបណ្តោយ១២ម៉ែត្រ និងទទឹង៦ម៉ែត្រ រួមទាំងអាងទឹកមួយនៅក្នុងទ្រុងនោះដើម្បីឱ្យដំរីត្រាំលេងផងដែរ។
លក្ខណៈជីវសាស្រ្តរបស់សត្វដំរី ច្រើនរស់នៅតាមព្រៃល្បោះ វាលស្មៅ ព្រៃឫស្សី ព្រៃជាំទឹក តាមដងអូរ ព្រៃពាក់កណ្តាលស្រោង និងព្រៃស្រោង។ ដំរីស៊ីសំបកឈើ ស្លឹកឈើ មើមឈើ ឫសឈើខ្ចីៗ ទំពាំង ឫស្សី ផ្តៅនិង វល្លិ៍ជាដើម។ ចំពោះការចិញ្ចឹមក្នុងសួនសត្វ ដំរីអាចស៊ីផ្លែឈើ អំពៅ ចេក។ ដំរីផឹកទឹករហូតដល់ ២០០លីត្រ ក្នុងមួយថ្ងៃ។ ដំរីច្រើនផ្តល់កំណើតកូន ក្នុងខែកក្កដា-សីហា ដោយកូនម្តងបាន១ក្បាល ឬ២ក្បាល បន្ទាប់ពីពពោះរយៈពេល២១ ឬយ៉ាងយូរ២៥ខែ។ ដំរីមេអាចបន្តពូជបាននៅអាយុ ១៥-១៦ ឆ្នាំ ហើយអាចមានកូនរហូតដល់អាយុ ៥០-៧០ឆ្នាំ និងអាចបង្កើតកូនបាន៤ ឬ ៥ដង។ គេអាចសម្គាល់ដំរីឈ្មោលចុះប្រេងនៅពេលដែលគេឃើញមានសារធាតុរាវម្យ៉ាង ដែលហូរចេញពីរន្ឋមួយនៅចន្លោះត្រចៀក និងភ្នែកដែលជាទូទៅនៅចន្លោះខែវិច្ឆិកា-ធ្នូ។
គិតមកត្រឹមឆ្នាំ២០២៥នេះ ឧទ្យានសួនសត្វ ព្រៃការពារ និងសួនភូតគាម «ភ្នំតាម៉ៅ» មានសត្វដំរីទាំងអស់៧ក្បាល ក្នុងនោះដំរីធំៗមានចំនួន៣ក្បាល មានញី១ក្បាល និងឈ្មោល២ក្បាល។ ដំរីញីឈ្មោះចំរើន មានអាយុ៣៥ឆ្នាំ ឯដំរីឈ្មោលឈ្មោះឈូកអាយុ១៨ឆ្នាំ និងសាគរ អាយុ៣២ឆ្នាំ។ ចំណែកឯកូនដំរីមាន៤ក្បាល រួមមាន លំផាត់ ឆាណាម ចម្ប៉ា និងរំដួល។ ម្យ៉ាងវិញទៀត អំណោយដំរីមួយគូរបស់ឡាវ ជាការរួមចំណែកដល់ការបង្កើនចំនួនដំរីស្រុក នៅពេលដំរីទាំងពីរនៅវ័យក្មេង ដែលមានលទ្ធភាពបន្តពូជនៅពេលខាងមុខ និងជំនួសសត្វដំរីស្រុកដែលមានអាយុកាន់តែចាស់ ដោយសារកម្ពុជាមិនអនុញ្ញាតឱ្យមានការចាប់ទាក់សត្វដំរីព្រៃមកផ្សាំងនោះទេ។
Champa and Romduol are a pair of elephants that the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic gifted to the King of Cambodia as a symbol of solidarity and friendship between the two governments and the two nations. On 12 May 2024, following his official state visit to Cambodia from 23 to 24 April 2024. This pair of male and female elephants originated from Thongmixay District, Xaignabouli Province, Laos. The female elephant is named Romduol; she was born on 6 June 2020 and is 3 years and 9 months old. Meanwhile, Champa is the male elephant, born on 5 November 2020, and is 3 years and 7 months old.
At the same time, the Lao side also sent two mahouts to help care for this pair of elephants for a period of six months. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has prepared the construction of an additional enclosure at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center and Zoological Park for this pair of elephants. The enclosure measures 50 meters in length, 30 meters in width, and 1.3 meters in height. As for the shelter for the elephants to rest, it measures 12 meters in length and 6 meters in width, and it also includes a water pond inside the enclosure for the elephants to soak and play.
In terms of biological characteristics, elephants commonly live in deciduous forests, grasslands, bamboo forests, swamp forests, along streams, semi-evergreen forests, and evergreen forests. Elephants eat tree bark, leaves, roots, young shoots, vines, bamboo, palm fruits, and various climbers. In captivity, such as in zoos, elephants can also eat fruits, sugarcane, and bananas. Elephants can drink up to 200 liters of water per day. They mostly give birth during July–August, usually delivering one calf or sometimes two, after a pregnancy lasting 21 to as long as 25 months. Female elephants can start reproducing at the age of 15–16 years and can give birth until they are 50–70 years old, producing offspring 4 or 5 times in their lifetime. Male elephants can be identified during musth when a certain fluid flows from a gland located between the ear and the eye, which usually occurs between November and December.
As of 2025, the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center and Zoological Park has a total of seven elephants, including three adults—one female and two males. The female elephant named CHAMROEN is 35 years old, while the male elephants CHHUK and SAKOR are 18 years and 32 years old, respectively. There are four young elephants: LOMPHAT, CHANAM, CHAMPA and ROMDUOL. Moreover, the gift of this pair of elephants from Laos contributes to increasing the local elephant population, as both elephants are still young and have the potential to reproduce in the future, thereby replacing older elephants. This is especially important because Cambodia does not allow the capture of wild elephants for the park.
