HKBU Professional Journalism Fellowship invites applications for the 5th Cohort 浸大第五屆「新聞工作者訪問學人」計劃接受報名
Application for the 5th cohort of fellows of the HKBU Professional Journalism Fellowship (PJF@HKBU) scheme starts today (11 February 2026)! Successful applicants will receive a stipend to take a break from their professional duties and attend various courses at HKBU, enriching their knowledge and perspectives to foster the long-term development of journalism in Hong Kong.
The application deadline for the 5th PJF@HKBU scheme is 13 April 2026. The scheme welcomes applications from full-time journalists employed by established news organisations based in Hong Kong, with a minimum of five years of journalistic experience.
The three Fellows selected in the fourth cohort of the PJF@HKBU scheme in 2025 have completed their studies in December of that year. They are Mr Shao Zhijie, Journalist of BBC News Chinese; Ms Natalie Wong, Senior Correspondent of South China Morning Post; and Ms Cissy Zhou, Senior Business Correspondent of Nikkei Asia.
Since its inception in 2022, a total of 12 outstanding journalists from local television, print, and online media have been selected to participate in the PJF@HKBU scheme. Watch the video to hear their stories and reflections on the journey!
