While working with the State Archaeologist to properly record lost or abandoned graves in the area, I received the coordinates to a couple of lost or abandoned graves deep in the woods near Bryceland, in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. I had no idea this search would lead me to Vicksburg, Mississippi investigating a part of the Civil War. Who did these graves belong to? What was their connection to the Civil War?
