In this vlog I visited Surya mandir / Sun Temple in Modhera, Gujarat. This temple was made in 11 centurie. And it’s build by Raja Bhimdev after many kingdoms are work on this temple. In India only two Sun Temple’s. 1) kornak sun temple in Odisa and 2) Modhera Sun temple in Gujarat.

When sunrise that first Rays came in this temple’s wall after everywhere. This sun temple located in modhera which is small town in Gujarat. In this temple there are 52 pillars and every pillar has different stories and every pillas on Ramayana and Mahabharat stories are drawn by hand.

The structure is a masterpiece of Māru-Gurjara architecture (also called Chaulukya style), a style that flourished in western India in the 11th–12th centuries under the Solanki rulers.
Key parts of the temple complex include:
Gūḍhamandapa: The main shrine hall.
Sabhamandapa: The assembly or dance hall.
Suryakund (Kunda): A large stepped water reservoir in front of the temple.
The temple was crafted from bright yellow sandstone and richly decorated with carvings of gods, dancers, floral and animal motifs.

The Sun Temple at Modhera remains one of India’s most spectacular medieval monuments, representing both religious devotion and architectural genius of the Solanki era
