Sakirin Mosque is considered as the most modern mosque in Turkey. It is located inside Karacaahmet Graveyard.
It is the first mosque designed (inner design) by a woman (Zeynep Fadillioglu). The fountain in the courtyard (01:20) was designed by William Pye.
Apart from all other mosques in Turkey mihrab (where imam stands) and minber (where imam gives his speech) are acrylic (a form of plastic).
It is definetely worth to visit to see its modern design, huge windows, the design giant ball inside the mosque.
