The Shadow of the Erdtree trailer dropped and the community is going wild! Theories, speculation and general madness have taken over. Miyazaki hints at many secrets still left to be found, even one in the hidden meaning of the DLC title. I believe one of the reasons for this frenzy is due to a huge missing piece of the lore that is yet to be talked about in the mainstream. This missing piece helps explain why Marika shattered the Elden Ring, why Messmer is missing from the Lands Between and why there is a place called "The Shadow Lands". I believe this video will help answer all of those questions and give a better and deeper understanding to the lore as a whole.
