Join me and my wife Sam as we set off in our campervan on a special journey in search of one of the UK’s most iconic – and most endangered – species: the red squirrel.

In this film, we travel through stunning landscapes, camera gear at the ready, hoping to capture both photographs and video of these beautiful creatures. Along the way, I share the story of why red squirrels are struggling in Britain, the threats they face, and the crucial conservation work being done to protect them.

What starts as a hopeful search turns into an unforgettable experience, with some truly incredible, up-close encounters that I’ll never forget. From their tufted ears to their agile leaps between the branches, every moment is a reminder of why these animals are worth fighting for.
