The story and the animation were both brilliant, and Merida is now one of our favorite Disney Princesses. However, when we looked into it, we found there were things that were a bit unusual, and there were some rather shocking things that just might have influenced the story. So, today, we are going to tell you The Disturbing Real Story Behind Brave.

We are going to show how there just might have been some truth to the character of Mor'du the bear, the influence behind the characters costumes, as well as some stories about the women in Scotland's Middle Ages.
