Let the Right One In debuted in Sweden in 2008 and was adapted to film, by Tomas Alfredson, from the novel of the same title (written by John Ajvide Lindqvist), who chose to focus mainly on the surreal relationship between the two main characters. The casting for this film took well over a year, but it was Lina Leanderson and Kare Hedebrand that captured the director's attention. (And we believe they were nearly perfect choices.)

Interesting fact about Let the Right One In: Neither of the main child actors were allowed to read the script. They learned their lines by having them read outloud to them by the director, rather than memorizing them by the traditional reading route.
