CEO Elliott Hill of Nike notes that Caitlin Clark is working on her signature shoe.
Nike CEO Elliott Hill mentioned in a video interview with Fortune.com Caitlin Clark is working on her Nike signature sneaker and logo design.
Hill added in the video that Clark was recently visiting Nike headquarters and verified that she is "working on her trademark sneaker that will launch. We also are working on her logo and her design of it."
In April 2024 the former Iowa women's basketball player received an 8-year, $28 million endorsement contract with Nike. Fans have been ravenously yearning for a Clark signature shoe reveal since then.
Hill omitted mentioning in the video when the Clark sneakers will be on sale.
Last year, Clark with the Indiana Fever was selected Rookie of the Year and All-WNDA.
"We never got to the women's opportunity when we were running just basketball," Hill stated in the video. "But by having this small team (at Nike) concentrated on women's basketball, it unlocked, we believe, for the game of basketball but also in product."
