Описание: In this video, artist Jonah Ward shares his process for creating his glass-burned panel series, where he uses 2100-degree Fahrenheit molten glass to burn abstract lines into wooden panels. Jonah employs various techniques to "draw" with glass. In this piece, he lays straight lines of glass across the panel and then drags sections of the line to create parallel stamps using the glass shears. Additional lines are juxtaposed against one another, forming a mesmerizing geometric composition. After his time in the hot shop, Jonah melts beeswax over the surface of the piece, sealing the burn areas and enhancing the wood's natural colors. The piece is framed with burnt pine edging and branded with Jonah's signature to complete the work.
