In today’s video, I’m going to show you how to cut and stitch a beautiful floral Vidmid-style baby frock, perfect for summer!

✂️ Step-by-step process:

1. Fabric Selection:
Choose a lightweight cotton fabric with a bright, colorful floral print—similar to the Vidmid frock style shown in the video.

2. Measurement & Marking:
Take your baby’s chest, waist, shoulder, and frock length measurements. Add seam allowance and mark the front and back bodice on folded fabric.

3. Cutting the Bodice:
Cut the front and back bodice along the marked lines. Make sure to shape the neckline and armholes properly.

4. Ruffle Sleeve Cutting:
Cut two small rectangular pieces for ruffled cap sleeves. Finish the edges and gather the top to create volume.

5. Stitching the Bodice:
Join the shoulder seams of the front and back bodice. Attach the ruffle sleeves between the front and back armholes. Then, stitch the side seams.

6. Skirt Part:
Cut a wide rectangular panel for the skirt. Gather the top edge to match the bodice width and attach it.

7. Back Opening & Finishing:
Add a button and loop at the back neck. Finish the neckline, armholes, and hem neatly with bias or double-fold finishing.

8. Final Pressing:
Iron the frock to give it a clean, professional finish.
