On Father's Day 2022 I treated myself to an epic ride up (and DOWN) Mt. Diablo via the South Gate entrance. It was a picture perfect day, with almost NO cars (because it was nice and early!). A day I will never forget. I hope the footage can relay how awesome this ride is. It's about a 2850' ascent and takes roughly 1.5 hrs to climb. The gradient averages 4-6% and the road is smooth. If you go to the very top be advised there is a 15+% grade the last 100 meters so bring some low gears. I was able to (barely) make it in my 39-28. Enjoy the decent!
