Wizard is amazing and is often called the most powerful class in D&D 5e, but let’s be honest — it has some huge weaknesses too. They do get that name for a reason though, wizard is so much fun to play once you get past the initial slow stage of the game.
The lowest hit points in the game
Heavily reliant on spell slots and long rests
Useless without prep (wrong spells = dead weight)
Requires a high level of system mastery to shine
Squishy and fragile in low-level play
Sure, they can bend reality at high levels — but until then, Wizards can be a liability more often than a savior.
