On Day 7 of our Colorado road trip, we leave the hotel and stop by a fancy Montrose pet store for more food and treats for Athena, then head to Ridgway for supplies. After that, we explore the scenic Last Dollar Road 🌄 on the way to Telluride, passing the iconic ranch from True Grit (cue movie nostalgia 🎬). Distracted by the views, we end up in the charming tiny town of Sawpit instead of continuing on Last Dollar Road—but we don’t mind the extra miles on this beautiful detour. Continuing toward Telluride ⛰️, we camp and cook dinner just as a crazy thunderstorm rolls in. Thank goodness for our Tune M1 camper keeping us safe and dry! Athena, our crackhead Belgian Malinois, is the only one who sleeps through the storm. Typical. 🐾
