There are so many things to do in Plettenberg Bay, also known as Plett.
Activities such as hiking, kloofing, bungee jumping, surfing, fishing, kayaking , stand up paddle boarding are just a few to name.

During the months of December and January is when these beach towns come alive. With parties happening in all neighbouring towns such as George, Knysna, St Francis, and Wilderness.

I was fortunate enough to get to see Goldfish play live, along with Goodluck taking us into the new year.

When - All Year Round 7 Days a WEEK.

Weather - in the Crags area can be very different to the town of Plettenberg Bay and we will run the river in light rain.

What to Wear - Swimming costume and shoes to swim / walk in. (if you do not have suitable shoes you can rent from them at R65,00 / pair)

Things to Bring - Swimming clothes, shoes to swim in and a towel, Gopro if you have.

Bungee jumping off the worlds highest commercial bridge at 216m, this was really exhilarating and got my adrenaline pumping. Bloukrans bridge is located just past Plettenberg Bay in Tsitsikamma. If you are looking to face adrenaline and conquer your fear of heights then this activity is perfect for you!! The height of this bridge jump is 216m.

What makes this experience even more fun, is the fact that you get to zipline below the bridge to get to the jump. This is a great way to start the adventure and get your blood pumping.

The entire experience is a short 4 minutes.
The free fall is around 4 seconds till you feel the bungee cord kicking in, and repelling you back upwards.
You then will bounce around a few times.
After around 1 min of hanging a staff member will come down and winch you back up to safety.

Robberg hike offers spectacular views looking back towards Plett. You can see Robberg beach, Sanctuary Beach, along with Shipwrecks. You also have a consistent view of the ocean while hiking alongside the mountain. This is one of my favourite things to do while visiting here.

There are 3 different hikes to choose from. There is a 2km , 5km and a 10km. This makes it the perfect hike for beginners as well. The landscape here is rugged, and rocky, but full of nature.

From the trail you have views of Cape Fur Seals down below. There is a colony that lives here on the peninsula. Where there are seals, there are usually sharks.... Robberg nature reserve is commonly known to have great white sharks near by. This area is a great feeding ground for them.

These are some of the few fun activities to do while on holiday here in the Garden Route. My top 3 things would be the Robberg hike, Africanyon Kloofing and the Bungee Jumping at Bloukrans Bridge.
