This is another fabulous measured building survey of a church laser scanned and modelled in Revit by Bury Associates. St Michael's Church in Sutton Coldfield is a wonderful example of Victorian Gothic and 1960s ecclesiastical architecture working together. The church was severely damaged by fire in 1964, after which the modern nave was added.
As our business servicing the heritage and historic building conservation sector has grown, our expertise in surveying churches has been in high demand. Even for customers working in 2D we usually produce a Revit model these days so they can have as many additional sections and internal elevations as they need to make their work easier.
