Winter Vegetables in the Polytunnel 🌱

Polytunnel vegetables through winter (unheated) are way easier with no dig:
1 speed of planting,
2 steady nutrient supply,
3 reduced weed growth.
This is YEAR 13 of the same salad plants and garlic in this soil, and we are picking at least half of them weekly when it’s mild as now.
Mostly the harvest is for selling in my salad mix, a few larger ones are for cooking and juicing.
Its zone 8 here in winter, and night temperatures in December 2025 are currently 4°C, and 12°C by day - and not much higher in the tunnel because sunshine is lacking. At least there’s no lashing of rain or blowing of wind on these plants. I keep the doors open to maintain steady ventilation and reduce mildew. #nodig #wintervegetables #polytunnelgrowing
