Описание: In West Asia, the Iran–Israel–United States conflict has now entered Day 17, and tensions across the Middle East continue to intensify with missile strikes, drone warfare, naval clashes, and major geopolitical developments. The confrontation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States is now entering its third week, impacting global oil markets, shipping routes, aviation fuel prices, and energy security across the world.

Iran’s blockade and attacks on shipping have disrupted global energy supply chains, pushing crude prices close to $106 per barrel. US President Donald Trump has urged allies including Britain, France, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and others to help reopen the waterway and deploy warships to secure the Strait of Hormuz. However, several allies including Germany, Japan and Australia have refused to send naval forces, while others are still considering their response.

Despite the escalating crisis, shipping activity continues cautiously in the region. Two Indian-flagged LPG carriers carrying more than 92,000 metric tonnes of LPG crossed the Strait of Hormuz, and the LPG tanker “Shivalik” has now reached Mundra Port, bringing vital energy supplies to India.

Meanwhile, tensions in the Gulf region remain extremely high. According to officials in the United Arab Emirates, air defence systems intercepted six ballistic missiles and 21 drones launched from Iran toward the UAE. Iranian drone attacks also reportedly caused explosions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while drone strikes temporarily affected operations at Dubai airport and hit an oil facility in the country.

Iran’s advanced missile arsenal is also being deployed. Reports say Tehran has used its Sejjil ballistic missile, a maneuverable long-range missile capable of changing direction during flight, making it difficult for missile defense systems to intercept.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has remained at the center of the conflict and recently visited Israel’s northern border near Lebanon. Israeli officials say the country has military plans for at least three weeks of continued operations against Iran and its regional allies.

At the same time, diplomatic tensions are growing globally. Trump has warned that NATO could face a “very bad future” if member states refuse to assist in reopening the Strait of Hormuz. He also hinted that the United States could deploy forces to seize Kharg Island, a crucial Iranian oil export hub sometimes described as the “crown jewel” of Iran’s energy infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran will “take the war as far as necessary”, accusing the United States and Israel of expanding the conflict.

Another key diplomatic voice in the crisis is Israeli envoy Reuven Azar, who confirmed that Prime Minister Netanyahu is “alive and leading operations” after misinformation circulated online regarding his status.

At the same time, India has clarified that there are no discussions about sending warships to the Strait of Hormuz, though New Delhi remains in contact with international partners regarding maritime security. The Ministry of External Affairs also confirmed that more than two lakh passengers from Gulf countries have returned to India amid the escalating regional tensions.

With drone warfare, ballistic missile attacks, naval confrontations, oil tanker threats, and global diplomatic pressure mounting.
