AND, I'M RELEASING AN ORIGINAL! WHAT WHAT!
Haha ok, excuse my extreme excitement, but I AM SO EXCITED!!🤓 I really really wanted to do something cool to start the new year, and I definitely thought about doing an original, but quickly talked myself out of it. Thinking there was no time for promotion or digital distribution I figured it was out of the question. It wasn't until I got to my producers house and he suggested that we do an original that I really thought this crazy idea could actually be a thing. So, we got to work to see what we could come up with. This chorus was one I wrote years ago but It had popped in my head a couple days prior! Rob heard something immediately, I wrote a couple verses and BOOM, we had a song! It came so easily and naturally, to me that's how you know you've got something good! So without hesitation we completed the song, shot the video and now we are here!!! This song will be available for download and streaming but honestly, I just wanted to get it out there. I feel like I can speak for a lot of artists when I say that it's a little scary to release an original, especially without promotion or really anything behind it. But I'm hoping that this can be a lesson to myself and anyone going through a similar to predicament, to just do it. Sometimes you just have to get the wheels turning again, and deal with the logistics as they come. I say in 2018, we take our lives seriously, and ourselves less seriously. Do the work every day, and do it well. The way you do one thing is the way you'll do everything! And enjoy life, every single piece of it. Do more and worry less.
