Valorant uses a hidden MMR ranking system to manage its players. I believe this was chosen to counter act the smurfs in the player base who ruin the game for new or low level players. Unfortunately I have seen some evidence that showcases that this system may be hurting "hard-stuck" players instead of the smurfs, which I share in this video. I will continue to investigate this issue and learn more about the matchmaking and ranking algorithms. Please feel free to share any evidence, ideas or theories that may help in understanding why these systems may be hurting players unintentionally.
