The internet can be a deep and dark place packed full of terrors. There are plenty of things on the internet you wish you can unsee but just can’t and one of those things is unequivocally original character designs for some of the most popular figures of all time. The process of designing a long and arduous process and a lot of trial and error is involved, with it taking months, maybe even longer to get right. Sometimes though those original designs are certainly an error and thankfully are by no means the finished product. Like, they are wrong, really wrong. While we may have got something different, that doesn’t mean that these original concepts didn’t nearly happen which, in some cases, is a frightening thought.

In this video we will look at 15 iconic characters who look, arguably thankfully, a lot different than their original design. This includes family favourites looking like they were picked out of a horror movie, weird looking heroes and even weirder looking villains, these are some of the best, worst and weirdest original character designs!
